Short day trip to a popular cafe by the river 2 hours away by the country-side roads.
By the river, I pass cool local restaurants litterally "in" the river.
Then the cafe. It was OK but a bit touristy.
Before leaving, I notice a small back alley. Down the stairs, a cosy secret place by the river !

Train down to Malaysia - Hat Wanakorn Natural Park
In 2022, I took the train from Malaysia to Chiang Mai. This time, I try the other direction.
1) 8 hour Overnight train to Bangkok, in a real sleeper train this time (learned my lesson!).
2) 5 hour day train to South Thailand, short visit to Hat Wanakorn National park.
3) 5 hour train to the border of Malaysia.
4) 3 hour Malaysian train to Penang.
